Well, the city has a pretty strict watering ban in effect due the fact that the drought has caused the lake level to drop significantly. My lawn is about dead, but I am watering the trees enough to keep them from dying. I have a few ornamental pear trees that look kinda wilted. Hopefully, they will survive.

Today, as I was riding my motorcycle to Tulsa, I realized just how many trucks are on the interstate highways. There seems to be one every few hundred feet in both directions.

As a motorcycle rider, trucks can really ruin the ride. The wind turbulence that comes off of large trucks really shakes you around. With literally a truck every few hundred feet, it seems like I was either passing a truck or a truck was passing me all the way to Tulsa and back (the trip was 235 miles).

It doesn't take a brain surgeon to realize that this has to be the most inefficient way of delivering freight. You would think that there would be some smart people out there that would want to re-vamp our rail systems and design a hub system that would greatly improve the efficiency of the freight delivery system in this country. Use rail to get freight to regional hubs, and then use trucks for the final leg in the delivery process.... seems logical to me.

My rant for today and a pic of the K1200 LT (what I ride).
